Joe Lovano, composer, saxophonist and producer who has won a Grammy and 14 other nominations, steps onto the big stage at Theatro Circo for the first time. Released on the renowned ECM label, this Trio Tapestry is accompanied by pianist Marilyn Crispell and Carmen Castaldi on drums. Long-time collaborators on various projects, each member of this trio is a pillar in their respective genre: Lovano is a titan of the jazz saxophone, the British newspaper The Guardian calls Marilyn Crispell 'one of the most highly regarded pianists in contemporary jazz' and Castaldi is a superb percussionist who drinks from the continuing legacy of Paul Motian. 

With innovative new compositions that the saxophonist recognizes as 'some of the most intimate and personal music' he has recorded to date, Lovano unravels a tapestry of modal expressions interwoven with a brilliant saxophone, a passionate spirituality on the piano and a range of exceptional percussive accents.
