Correspondences
Soundwalk Collective with Patti Smith

Correspondences is the result of a collaborative project between the German Soundwalk Collective and singer, artist and writer Patti Smith. It is an ongoing work that has been developed for more than ten years in multiple geographies, following the sound paths left by poets, filmmakers, revolutionaries and extraordinary episodes of humanity.

Stephan Crasneanscki, founder of Soundwalk Collective, has traveled all over the world to the most remote places to collect sounds that would form a sound grammar for experimental compositions. These compositions become the musical space where Patti Smith's poetry and voice dwell. This continuous resonance between the artists was further expanded by recordings and experimentation in the studio.

At Theatro Circo we will have the opportunity to see Correspondences, an evolved version of the performance presented at the opening of the Perfect Vision exhibition at the Georges Pompidou Center (Paris/FR). On stage will be Stephan Crasneanscki and Simone Merli, from Soundwalk Collective, Patti Smith, Diego Espinosa Cruz Gonzalez, Lucy Railton and Nicolas Becker, accompanied by visuals by filmmaker Pedro Maia (PT).
