    GILSONS

The musical trio known as Gilsons was created in 2018 and is formed by Francisco, João and José Gil, born and raised in the music world. In addition to integrating elements of pop rock, samba, reggae and Bahian rhythms, it also alludes to the classical music of Brazilian Popular Music (MBP) by father and grandfather Gilberto Gil. The band emerged after a live performance at an event that brought together national artists. After that, José Gil invited his nephews to celebrate the union and thus came up with ideas and a successful project. Before this formation, they already had a band in partnership with different musicians such as Magno Brito and Luthuli Ayodele. This meant that, at the time of their joining, the Gilsons already arrived with dynamics and some professional maturity. After a few releases, which included the hits “Várias Queixas” and “Devagarinho”, the band released their first album, “Pra Gente Acordar”, which in September, was nominated for the Latin Grammy for “Best Contemporary Pop Album in Portuguese Language”.

    JOSH ROUSE

Known for his introspective folk-pop and worldly perspective, Josh Rouse has built a reputation as a critically acclaimed and dependable singer-songwriter. His songs are presented with an open heart, an innate intelligence and an absolute lack of pretense. They are clear, empathetic and penetrating. Without being paternalistic, he seeks to satisfy both the ear and the understanding. The verses draw you in with revealing details, both musical and thematic, and the choruses lift and deliver. They resolve themselves without seeming overly objective or obvious. “Whenever I made a record, I tried to make it different than the last one,” says Rouse. “I've always been fascinated by different styles of music.
