Born in the Libyan city of Benghazi, Ahmed Fakroun looked set to make his mark in world music circles in the mid-1980s when his album “Mots D’Amour”, combining traditional Arab melodies with electronic music, was released on the Celluloid label in France.Altın Gün offer an exciting mix of Turkish folk, psychedelia, funk and rock. 

Altın Gün play songs from the aforementioned artists from the 70's and their lesser-known contemporaries and also make their own arrangements of Turkish traditionals. This way different worlds meet and form a refreshing danceable sound.
