What is a revolution? Astronomically, it is the period of time that celestial bodies take to travel around their orbit. For mechanics, it is the complete turn of the shaft of a motor or any part in rotary motion. In a figurative sense, it is said to be an act of resistance, usually violent, against authority or the established order. But it could also be the clerk Bartleby, created by Herman Melville, who in 1853 chose not to write. This decision, disruptive and peaceful, threw the entire Wall Street of the 19th century into disarray. After all, what use is a revolution to us?
Proposed by Circuito - Serviço Educativo Braga Media Arts, this session is programmed and mediated by Confederação, a theatrical research collective that develops creative, research and training projects with a strong connection between theater and moving images.
