“Monologue of a woman called Maria with her mistress” is the title clandestinely stolen from a text from the book “Novas Cartas Portuguesas”, and which sets the tone for this show. We start from the creation of the first Domestic Service Union in Portugal, in 1974, to tell the story, still little known, still little told, still little recognized, still little valued, of women's work, of their power to organize, demand and change . This is the story of the invisible work that makes the world move. It is the story of the women who clean the world, the women who take care of the world, the women who produce, educate and prepare the workforce.
